just one thing... easel

Another new type of post today! 'Just One Thing...' it could be a product, an idea or anything clever or inspiring for your rented home, sometimes there's something so good it needs shouting about but doesn't need a long involved post... so here's the first one!

If you can't (or don't want to) put a big hole in the wall to hang a large canvas or framed print, consider using an artists easel instead. This fabulous example from Daler Rowney is specifically designed to display artwork (although you could also use it as a regular easel if you're feeling arty!) It will hold an item up to 125cms in height with a maximum weight of 7kgs so it would suit framed works as well as canvas ones. It's easy to assemble and you can move it from room to room or change your artwork as often as you like with no hassle. You can leave it as or give it a light sand to stain or paint it as you like.

I found this one for £50.40 inc P&P from Fred Aldous which is very reasonable! The model looks slightly bored (in her defense modelling an easel isn't easy I suppose) but she does show that the easel is a good size and that you do get a lot for your money. I think it would look especially good in the corner of a room or perhaps in an alcove or bay window? So much more interesting than just hanging it on the wall don't you think? Don't be restricted to artwork either, I imagine it painted black with a large fancy mirror on it in the corner of a bedroom too,  just check the weight first!
